Well hello all you bloggers out there. First of all, I want to apologize for the past few months of silence, especially considering I had even said that I wouldn't do that again. But in my defense, the past few months have been quite the ordeal for me. I have left my old abode in Charlotte NC for the small-ish city of Rocky Mount, courtesy of Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, (who I thank for giving Dad the best job he's ever had) being in need of a senior pastor. Though there have been some rough squalls I am in the process of getting things back on track.
For one, thanks to having to aid with the move and other matters, I had to temporarily withdraw from school, major pain there. I am in the process of signing up with another community college so that I can get more non-major related work done.
A second point is being 5 hours away from Sarah, (Her blog is here for those not in the know) and all the angst you would expect from that. I am attempting to arrange a means of bridging that gap, and a lot of other gaps, so that I can be seen as a man to all eyes, which is as God intended.
On a lighter note, I have started a new writing project with full intent to publish. It's more along the lines of Christian allegory than the sci-fi adventure I was focusing, and thus far it is coming along swimmingly. It's pending title is called The Value, and for those even more curious, I have a blog set up to provide insight into the journey. The Blog Words of Value, ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure.
I believe that covers the state of affairs up to this point. I'll try to get into the habit of posting once a week with whatever should catch my fancy.
Thanks for the ::ahem:: shameless plug, m'dear! Love you.
ReplyDeleteHello Jared! My husband, Joe and I are both recent followers of your gf, Sarah Elizabeth and her blog! She did us the favor of "following" us back! Anyhow, she speaks of you often and I noticed you have a blog so I am one of your "followers" now, as well. So sorry you and SE have to be so far apart! That is dreadful. But you guys can make it, I know it! :) Have a great day! -- Rachel
